Earlier this week, we were privileged to welcome Nardene from Hato Hone St John to The Hearing House to lead our team through a day of first aid training.
The hands-on session covered a wide range of essential skills, from CPR and managing choking incidents to treating wounds and responding in emergency situations. The training was tailored for real-life scenarios involving babies, children, and adults, reflecting the diversity of our clients and community.
For our team, first aid training isn’t just a box to tick; it’s about being equipped to keep the people we work with safe. Whether we’re supporting a child with cochlear implants or talking with whānau in one of our clinics, we want to know we’re ready to act when it matters most.
A huge thanks to Nardene and the team at Hato Hone St John for helping us build the confidence and skills needed to respond when it matters most.
