Donating your old equipment for reuse

We welcome donations of pre-used cochlear implant and hearing aid equipment, particularly sound processors and accessories, that you or your whānau no longer need. Donated equipment that is suitable for reuse can be put to good use as backup or replacement equipment for other kiritaki/clients.

Sound processors and related equipment are valuable items, and equipment that is no longer needed by one person can often provide an important backup or replacement option for someone else. Reusing suitable equipment can also provide a substantial cost saving for our kiritaki/clients and help us make the best possible use of the resources available to us.

Sustainability is one of our key business objectives at The Hearing House, and we continue to refine our processes for recycling materials and batteries, and repurposing equipment wherever appropriate.

All donated parts and devices identified as suitable for reuse are carefully cleaned and checked before being made available. This can include sound processors, dry boxes, cords and other compatible equipment.

If you or your whānau have any old or pre-used equipment that is no longer required, please contact reception@hearinghouse.co.nz. We can arrange collection, or equipment can be dropped off at reception.

We are very grateful for every donation. By passing on equipment you no longer need, you are helping ensure valuable devices are not wasted and can instead make a practical difference for other kiritaki.
