The Hearing House A First Voice Centre

With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you and The Hearing House.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, especially if you are new to Auckland. Volunteering also strengthens your ties to the community and broadens your support network, exposing you to people with common interests, neighborhood resources, and fun and fulfilling activities.

Pictured below are our friends from The Warehouse region 8 stores who have helped The Hearing House on a few different occasions including staff fundraising for Loud Shirt Day, support with our Round the Bays fundraising team, and even a visit from Santa and Elle Elf at Christmas time!

We also require volunteers for a range of events during the year – so feel free to contact us if you are keen to get involved!

Quota International is another one of our key volunteer groups.  They provide sibling care to the brothers and sisters of deaf children while they are in therapy.  Quota also is a financial supporter of The Hearing House and runs an annual picnic for deaf kids and their families.
