The Hearing House also has an association with the University of Auckland to assist students studying Speech Science or Audiology.

The Hearing House team has a significant body of knowledge and skill in Auditory-Verbal Therapy. Our professional qualifications and affiliations are internationally recognised and require continuing education on a yearly basis. In order to extend the New Zealand-wide knowledge-base about Auditory-Verbal Therapy, some members of the team are actively involved in educating professionals in related areas. Specifically:

  • Lecturing to the Master of Audiology students at University of Auckland.
  • Lecturing to the Master of Speech Science students at University of Auckland.
  • Providing a subject-base for one Master’s thesis project each year.
  • Providing each Master of Audiology student with observation of Auditory-Verbal Therapy sessions.
  • Providing Teacher of the Deaf course students with observation of Auditory-Verbal Therapy sessions.
